Antigua
The month in Guatemala was amazing. Cathy, Jemima, Isaac and I accompanied Simon and Sarah Hogg for the month of July 2008.
We stayed in Antigua in a beautiful villa and introduced S&S to all of our missionary friends there.
Antigua is such a beautiful city and S&S felt both the presence of God and the call of God whilst being there. They hope to return at the beginning of 2009
Santiago
Parramos
Simon & Sarah will be working with the Humphries Family in Santiago. Their ministry is called ‘El Refugio’ and we spent many of our days with them working alongside the children in their school.
The children of Santiago are very poor; many of them do not have enough to eat and cannot read or write. It is expensive for them to go to school so ‘El Refugio’ run a sponsorship scheme to feed and teach the children.
While we were there we dedicated the top floor of the building as the church and installed Russ & Linda as Pastors and Sophie & Luke as co-workers.
We also spent a lot of our time with Pastors Abner and Loly Gomez in Parramos. I have been there many times and really love their people. God has knit our hearts together and we had some wonderful meetings as well as fellowship together as friends.
God is at work in the fellowship there and they have seen tremendous depth and growth over the years.
I visited several of the home cell groups that were established during my visit last year. That was such a blessing and was crowned when Christina (pictured left) came in and gave her heart to the Lord.
I am hoping to travel with Abner to Cuba sometime next year.
Please pray for them as they continue to serve the Lord faithfully.
