What a wonderful time Coe Sawyer from the USA and Kingsley had in Soroti in the Eastern part of Uganda in March 2006.
After preaching to the 2000 strong congregation (3 services) in Soroti, they then had the privilege of working with the leaders of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) in the region. This involved traveling to a different region each day and addressing the Pastors, Leaders, Youth Ministers, Ladies Leaders etc of over 70 of PAG’s churches.
This was very exciting as many of these people had traveled many miles to attend and the response to the Word of God was almost overwhelming. These people had paid such a price over the past years, even as recently as 2 years ago when the LRA (Rebels) had stolen many of their children and they have little chance of ever seeing them alive again.
We also met children who had never seen a white man before and scared the life out of them. One of these became my friend. Her name is Morning Rebecca and her picture is below. I went to say “hello” and she took off but later on, when we visited her home, her father gave me the goat you see below, so praise the Lord!

This trip was organised in conjunction with Rev. Elonga Levi and he did a fantastic job. God has opened an effective door here and it remains open for a season. I certainly intend to go back, probably with a larger team, to encourage the people and to work alongside all the churches there.
