Mike Ducker and I headed off to Ethiopia in February 2006 and, once again, had an amazing time.
We visited 3 prisons and had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with approximately 3500 men. Again, as in previous years, they all responded to the Gospel. I am so excited preaching the good news to men who know they need a Saviour. The prisons are very difficult places in Ethiopia but ‘Prison Fellowship Ethiopia’ are doing an amazing job in bettering the conditions of the prisoners.
We also visited 2 of the ‘Twinkle of Hope’ projects where Rev. Bob Spratt from Kendal has been raising support for the education of the children of women prisoners who have to share the prison sentence of their mothers. This is a wonderful project and enables these children to have some education and hope in life.
We then hosted the third annual Conference in the Ghion hotel for 75 pastors and leaders from Addis Ababa. This went really well and it was lovely to spend some time with these men and women, many of whom have spent time in prison for their faith. Some of them run big churches but never have any time to have anyone speak into their lives. There was a tremendous anointing in these meetings.
Please pray for Pastor Daniel who is involved at a Governmental level at the moment and needs extra strength.
