I visited Solomon and Armande again in May 2005. This time it was for a different purpose. I was aiming to introduce Solomon to the Victory Christian Centre,  a Fellowship in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
Their Senior Pastors, Robert & Rosemary McAuley, are hoping to come out with me sometime and visit the work in La Cote d’Ivoire.
Because of this we visited the New Life Project, the vision of a lady called Brenda. She is from Sierra Leone and has a real heart for the prostitutes, that God would turn them into virtuous women.
We spent some time at her home for the prostitutes and listened to her as she shared her vision. Many of the ladies dragged into prostitution are from other countries and have had their passports seized with the promise of a life in another land. Then they have to pay off their ‘mistresses’ before they can ever get their passport back.
None of them like the work that they do but sincerely can find no way out. She has very little support from anywhere but has a desire to see the Lord reach at least 100 of these girls.
The church was holding a special week of meetings for its anniversary. These were tremendous and it was lovely for me to see the growth in the church.
They have almost finished their outside structure and on the last meeting on the Sunday morning there were over 350 people. What a blessing, when there were only a handful a few short years ago.
The sense of worship in the place was tremendous and Solomon & Armande a certainly doing a fantastic job.
The local mayor attended that service and gave a great testimony of what God is doing.
