Prison Fellowship Ethiopia is led by Pastor Daniel Gebrieselasie (on the left) and assisted by Lemi Daba (on the right).
They have a large team working with them to reach and transform the prisons in the nation of Ethiopia
They are involved in bringing restoration to these prisons, their families, the prison officers, their home villages and ultimately to the country.
PFE has been involved in leading many thousands of these prisoners to Christ. They have also brought much needed improvement to the prison environment in the form of sanitation and toilet blocks and clean water.
They are involved in setting up training for the prisoners and are currently running a sponsorship scheme to provide chaplains to work alongside the prisoners both inside and when they get outside the prisons.
Many of the PFE workers have been inside prison themselves for their faith, so they know what it is like to be abandoned and without hope.
They are seeking to bring hope through the Gospel of hope and through practical help.
I first visited Ethiopia 2 years ago with Rev. Bob Spratt who has been a tremendous source of encouragement and help to that nation.

It was a very exciting trip for me in April 2004, my second visit to Ethiopia, to hold training sessions for some of the local pastors in Addis Ababa.
We had over 60 pastors / workers representing more than 20 denominations across the city. I brought them through ‘The Joshua Project’ and we had an amazing time. I was so excited as we had such an terrific gathering of people who wanted to see a new move of God in their great nation.
We held the seminars in the Ghion hotel and provided them with meals and materials etc. It was a time when we enjoyed the presence and favour of God in a tangible way.
